SMSTheTeam supports the telecom operators in the United States and Canada. We are constantly working on adding operators from across the globe and trying to set up a list to show you where our service is available. In the mean time if you want to test, just sign up for the free trial and give it a try. Also you can contact us if you would like to support a country immediately.
The Default International Code is appended to your contacts numbers in case the number you have saved is not an international one. The code can be simply the country code or the country code and a region code.
The reason for this is that SMSTheTeam uses central text message providers so as to provide you with the best cost structure. This means that text messages are sent out from mobile numbers that might not be in your country (our numbers are all in the US for now). So for the message to reach you we need to send it to an international number.
No, only the Google Contacts that have mobile numbers are accessible. Note that if you add a mobile number to one of your Google Contacts in GMail, then the next time you login to SMSTheTeam you will find that contact in your SMSTheTeam contact list.
Well the answer here depends on your subscribed plan.
- For Enterprise you simply text your SMSTheTeam admin number with the title of the saved SMSTheTeam message and it would be automatically sent to all the recipients of the saved message.
- For all other plans, you need to text you SMSTheTeam admin number with a text message of the following format "Your Sign-in email"/"Saved SMSTheTeam message title" (please note that is a slash between your email and message title with no spaces)
A Dedicated US Admin Number allows you to send a saved SMSTheTeam message from your mobile without the need to enter your account email. This makes the process of sending out the message easier.
When you signup, we create a private folder in your Google Docs named "SMSTheTeam replies". Whenever you send out an SMSTheTeam message with replies enabled, we create a spreadsheet in this folder with the message's title. The replies are then appended to a worksheet whose title is the date of the message sent out. Note that SMSTheTeam messages with the same title share the same spreadsheet but different worksheets depending on the date they are sent.
For contacts that have a work mobile and a personal mobile, you will first have to make sure that in your Google Contacts their telephone types are Work Mobile and Mobile. If this is the case, you will see in SMSTheTeam your contact repeated twice. One of the those times would have "(work)" after your contact name. Please note that if you have your contact numbers all as mobile then your contact will simply be repeated multiple times.
When you signup for SMSTheTeam, you are requested to pick an Email2SMS address which is unique to you. To use this feature, simply send an email to your Email2SMS address from your sign in email account.
The subject defines your recipients which should be separated by a ; and should not have any extra spaces. Note that the recipients in the subject line may be group names, contact names or phone numbers.
The first 160 characters in the body of your email are sent out as the text message.
This is simply a security feature to make sure that your SMSTheTeam account is not hijacked by other people trying to send out text messages on your account.
